Hot Toddy Recipe

I am looking for a Hot Toddy recipe.  It has been years since I had one of those, but this bronchitis/double ear infection/damp, cold weather is just killing me.  KILLING me!

Work is not too happy with me.  I have missed a lot of time lately.  I am waiting to get reprimanded when I get back.   At least I have a doc excuse.

Anywho, when I was growing up, I remember Mom having Hot Toddy’s when she was really sick.  They looked so comforting.  I also remember listening in on her and Grandma P. sharing recipes.  Granma P.’s recipe called for onions.  Bleh.

Then again, Grandma P. will tell anyone, to this day, (she is 94 and is still sharp as a tack) she will tell the story of her childhood.  Her parents came from Europe, spoke no English and her mom did not know how to cook anything but fried onions.

And that is what she grew up on.  No wonder onions go into all her dishes (and apparently her beverages too).

Her childhood still traumatizes her.
